"Come on, don't stop till you get enough"

I got some scrapping in today!! Which was fabulous! but ican't post what I made because it may or may not have been a couple of birthday presents for a couple of my favorite people that are having birthdays in the next couple of weeks!

Hehe...

So right now, I am at my dad's house, but he isn't here for the summer so I am just hanging out here by myself. It is sort of nice to have a whole house to myself. I have Michael Jackson blaring in the background and I am dancing around. hehe, I can't believe I just admit that! but I have some candles burning and I gathered a little vase of flowers from my dad's garden. Haha, this is the life!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So Last night, we played a pick-up game of soccer. I played soccer for about 14 years of my life, and now I am not playing anymore.. so it felt so good to play again! We had about 12 people out there so it ended up being 6 on 6. Our team won!! (of course) haha, but today I am sooo sore! I think it is a sign that I am aging!

Is there one thing that you used to do quite frequently and now you don't? It could be anything.. (Ex. - writing, going to church, exercising,) Well, whatever it is, you should try picking it up again, at least just once. I promise it will give you a nice comforting feeling.

Love to you, happy tuesday!

* To cut vegetables the right way

* To have compassion

* To ride my bicycle

* To be Laid Back

* That I am indeed, special!

Garage Sale from 8 - 4:30
Artsy Tartsy Crop from 5 -11

Busy day.

So what is your favorite T.V show?

I happen to LOVE the Cosby Show. I know it's old and dorky, but seriousy this is one of the things that makes me so happy. Haha, that is one of my favorite things about coming home from school- I get to sit in bed and watch the Cosby Show before I fall asleep at night. It is funny the silly little rituals that we get ourselves in to.

Well, hope you had a nice friday! lookin' forward to the weekend!!

Unitarian Universalist

Happy Monday!

Now that I am not working as a waitress, I really have a lot of time to myself. Which is fabulous really! Today I met my friend for breakfast at the best breakfast place in town! Then purchased all of the last things to finish my creation of cards for my momma's work. This evening i am going to be having dinner with my father! It really is an excellent Monday. i am so fortunate to not have anything too difficult to deal with this lovely Monday.

On a different note, I attended my first sermon at the new congregation I am interested in this weeked. The congregation is called the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Minnetonka.

Do you know what a Unitarian Universalist is??

Basically, it is a religion that accepts people of all genders, colors, races, beliefs. It is a very open minded place where anybody can come, regardless of religious beliefs. The unifying thing of the religion is that everyone there is going down there each individual path. Everyone who attends the congregation is supporting everyone else in their spiritual journey. Really, the kind of people who belong to this religion are usually very spiritual in the way that they have very strong faith in something. Yet, they are also not religious in the sense that they do not follow any one religion very strictly. They often see the commonalities between all religions and believe ultimately, in love.

So, yes, I have become very interested in furthering my spirtual side in this manner. Everyone i spoke to was so friendly and welcoming and I am hoping to go back again next Sunday. I really hope that this will be turn a new page in my book of life.

I am not one to impose my beliefs on anyone else, to each their own is my opinion on this matter. For me, this just happens to be the token.

hope you have a wonderful day!

Big Questions.

I've been very contemplative lately. I've been asking all of those big questions like what are we doing here and what is the meaning in all the actions humans do on a daily basis. Essentially I am stuck on the "meaning of life" question. It's a hard question to be stuck on because there is no answer, and you can read all of the books in the world and still not come to a conclusion about the question.

A temporary conclusion that I have come to, is that life is A PATH that never ends. Each person goes through their own path and follows it in any direction that feels right at the time. There may be times when someone needs to chose to go right or to turn left and we have to make those decisions and move on with our life. There is no right answer, we were not necessarily destined to turn right. We just need to follow our instincts and life will go along with us.

I have been in a weird spot so far this summer, not quite finding that nook where I feel perfectly comfortable. I guess it is the times when we don't feel comfortable that we learn the most. I definately have learned about myself this summer. I ended up quitting my job at Baccio. (you may be laughing right now because i only had the job for about a week and half, but it was necessary) But that decision was a very hard one to make, and unfortunately I had to take the turn on my "path" in a different direction. I needed to have more structure and organization in my life and I needed more time to develop certain things that I am interested in.

So now, what the summer came down to is this, "Vanessa, what do you want to get out of this summer"

1. I want to have fun.
2. I want to be in better physical shape.
3. I want to practice and learn more spanish.
4. I want to search for meaning through religion or literature
5. I want to be creative.

So, when it comes down to just these 5 things.. I am going to start filling my schedule with all kinds of things that will all be good for my soul and my heart. I am taking a new turn in my path, let's hope it leads me through many wonderful adventures.

Have a nice day, what turn are you going to take today?

Love,
Vanessa.

A Tuesday

Hey Everybody!

I apologize that it has been a while, you know how it goes when many different things are going on at the same time. Anyway, how is everybody?

I AM GREAT!!!!! Because today is a fabulous day, the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky. Also, I don't have anything to do until 3 o clock, which means I can actually enjoy this day fully and completely.

( I should be wearing this shirt today!)

Anyway, I am going to be self-indulgent today. I am going to exercise in the morning, read and relax in the afternoon out on my dock, then i am going to work training and after that... I AM GOING TO SCRAPBOOK! Sounds like the perfect day in my book.

Hope you have a fabulous day!

Question of the day: If you had one free day, free of everything, what would you do?

* To be honest, I think that my day today would answer that question completely!! What about you?

June 1st.

Today is June 1st. Which means, WHITE RABBIT!!!

I don't know if you play that game, but we used to play when i was young, that the first day of every month, you call your neighbors and say white rabbit. The first person to say it is the winner for the month!! So, for this month.. I WIN!

Today was a very busy but good day!

I worked at Artsy Tartsy again today! First time since late August of last year!! Can you believe that?? For those of you who don't know, Artsy Tartsy is the scrapbooking/beading store that I worked at through my senior year of high school. If you are a scrapper or into crafty things at all, you should definetely come check us out!

http://www.artsytartsy.com/ I also happen to have a link to the artsy tartsy blog on mine, so look into it!

Then, at 2:30 I got off of that job, and drove over to do some more training at Bacio resturant. Now, you should also check out Bacio. Seriously, I have never tasted such good food. At this point, I have sampled about half of the menu, which goes along with training. And I have yet to taste something that is not DELICIOUS!

Anyway, a very busy day!

This evening, I am going to a friend's house for a bonfire and party with a bunch of friends. It should be an excellent Friday night. What are your plans for the weekend? Anything exciting??

Love to you,

*Vanessa*

Question of the day: What is your exercise schedule? How do you keep in shape?

** My problem is, see, that I don't have enough of an exercise schedule. I try to go for walks/runs every now and then but I never seem to stick to a schedule. I have been running these past couple of days, but today I am making a new rule. I need to exercise in some form (running, walking, swimming, dancing) at least once a day! Alright, here I go! You better hold me to it!
